AFSCME Local 3450 represents more than 2,800 State of Iowa capitol complex employees. We stand for the interests of these employees in collective bargaining negotiations, grievance processes, and in ensuring that workers’ rights still have a place in Iowa.
Monthly Meetings
Our general membership meetings, open to all dues-paying members, take place at 5:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month via Zoom. In-person meetings occur quarterly and are announced ahead of time. The next in-person meeting is 5:30 p.m. CDT, Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Executive board meetings may also be held at the board’s discretion. Local 3450’s executive board currently consists of a president, vice president, chief steward, secretary, treasurer, two professional, fiscal, and staff (PFS) members, one technical member, one education member, and one trustee.
